I really love this image. You've balanced the pattern very well by rotating the images appropriately. When I look at the image my eyes fall into infinity. The grid is proportioned well. I also like the color chosen for the grid.
This is the type of abstract photography I am drawn to. I love mundane or indistinguishable items taken from a interesting perspective or arranged in an interesting pattern.
My only complaint is the original photo the image is composed of is not in focus. Maybe improve on your macro photography. At an f/ of 3.5 it's most likely a focus area problem, or distance (too close to the subject), or poor fine focus (if shooting in manual focus).
Hope this critique is helpful to you. :)

Who would have thought a wind up mechanism on the back of a jewelry box could be brought to life like this!

At first I thought it was a collage of images of Saturn, and on closer inspectionit could be viewed as pictures of the Solar System.

Great work and thank you for uploading.

This is a fractal mate (and of Serpiński type) ! Why don't you submit it in the proper gallery?

Ah fico, m'era sfuggio che sei italiano! :)

Beautiful magic square going on for infinity. It's a fitting memorial/memento, and the screws and wind-up key are a nice touch that connects it to the music box theme. It brings up the idea of the infinite universe as a clockwork wind-up music box of the divine. For westerners, the 9-square structure (nonna/grandmother nona/9th) is also the structure for the tic tac toe game (God plays dice withe the universe?). In Asian cosmology it's the 9-square layout of the Lo Shu (a magic square pattern that is used even today for architecture and city planning). The Lo Shu square, in the I Ching version, is also associated with the structure of DNA nucleotides, and so this joins the macroscopic (the cosmos) with the microscopic (the cell nucleus) in a Gnostic way.

The heads of the metal screws have crosses on them (symbolizing Earth, but also the Sun), and as the squares recede, the S in the key makes it look like an eye. (The S itself is full of symbolism -- it could be someone's first initial or even the symbol of the cosmic serpent).

I seem to remember the music -- Carillion -- playing from the watch of the character named Indio in the Spaghetti Western directed by Leone ("For a Few Dollars More," I think). That music played in the showdown scene, and so it also lends a sense of urgency and mortality to the image (at least for me). "Indio" is a racial slur in South America and Mexico, but it also sounds like "In Dio" (with God).

For me, NONNA also breaks down into NON - NA (In Korean, this sounds like "You're me." If you mix languages, it can be NON ME, i.e., the notion of NON SELF in Buddhism.)

Ultimatelly, this would be classified as a mandala, but it is actually a YANTRA, a visual representation that conveys important hidden meaning. Yantras are meditation tools, and this one certainly causes one to become absorbed into its meanings.

Thanks very much for your "vision", I really appreciate the interest you show me in many cases (), but for this work I don't say anything in public because it is a "thing" very private and intimate .... I'm sorry a lot ....
If you are interested I will send a note.

I thank you with the heart and with the head, the inexhaustible source of info and tips you give me! :diny:
